Buffalo Black Nurses Inc, is comprised of over 100 black nurses with businesses and employed in positions that allow them to extend opportunities to other black nurses. The organization has implemented a nurse mentor program for nursing students and existing nurses, pursuant of a higher degree in the nursing profession or changing fields. The mentor program provides professional development including professional headshots, LinkedIn profiles, resume building and social media etiquette. The mentees also qualify for a nursing school scholarships provided by the organization. The nursing student graduates are also honored during the fall "Nurses Gala and Scholarship Dinner Fundraiser".
Buffalo Black Nurses maintain visibility in the community, volunteering at community events, sponsoring events that align with the mission and core values. If interested in having the organization at your community event, please the website and fill out the "Community Service Request" form.
